Off to Spain!

Hi guys!

I had this great plan to do a post about my packing, but because the project was as difficult for me as it always is, I didn't have any extra time so this pic from plane will just do it..

I'm in the plane atm, Spain as a destination!

I'm traveling with my 5 friends from school (plus two teachers). This trip is a part of a project called Comenius. 5 students from our Spanish class were chosen (well not more than six of us wante to go.. But better for me & my frineds ;). The theme of this trip and project is energy, so we had to make all kinds of projects about it and also videos and piwerpoint presenting our school and country. 

We're flying to Alicante and we're going to stay there one night in a hotel, the rest of the week we're going to live with host familys in Cartagena. I'm super excited to see the town, learn more Spanish, to do some shopping in stores which we don't have in Finland and specially meet all the new people and have great time with my amazing friends!

Mulla oli loistava suunnitelma tehdä postaus mun pakkaamisista, mutta kuten aina, se projekti olikin vähä isompi homma nii ei pahemmin ylimäärästä aikaa jäänyt..

Olen juuri koneessa, määränpäänä Espanja!

Matkustan viiden koulukaverini (ja kahden opettajan) kanssa Comenius projektin matkalle, jolle valittiin Oppilaita Espanjan ryhmästämme. Projektin teemana on energia, joten teimme matkaa varten videoita ja kyselyitä ja esityksiä koulustamme ja Suomesta. 

Lennämme Alicanteen ja olemme siellä hotellissa yhden yön, loppu viikon olemme isäntäperheissä Cartagenassa. Ootan innolla lämpöä, uuden kaupungin näkemistä, Espanjan kielen parantumista, shoppailua Suomesta puuttuvissa kaupoissa ja erityisesti uusiin ihmisiin tutustumista ja mun ihanien ystävien kanssa chillailua!

getting ready for summer

 

Howdy,

 

T.G.I.F! This week I really waited for the weekend. The last days I slept way too little because I had to finish my geography work and today I slept in (luckily I got a ride to school so I was in time after all) , so I think that I'll spend tomorrow in my bed. I didn't do much more today either: I baked a mud cake, watched a movie and played PS (for example  GTAV which I got as a Christmas present, but there's no worry of me turning into a real PS nerd cause I'm terrible at the game!) .

 

I'm happy that Spring is not yet even here, because in a month I have to decide my high school (I'm not ready for that decision!) and in May I'll have to say bye to my class. But I love Summer, so I'm anyway really looking forward! And I'm already thinking of what to wear...

 

As  I might have told you, the sales were specially great this year! I'm happy with my founds and specially with their prices! I started getting ready for summer too, hopefully I'll still fit in them then..!

Ah, ihanaa että on perjantai, sitä onkin jo odotettu! Univelkaa on kertynyt mm. mantsan lopputyön takia sen verran paljon, että pommiin nukutun aamun ja koulupäivän jälkeen ahkerin tekoni oli mutakakun leipominen, muutoin makoilin sohvalla ja katsoin telkkaria ja pelailin pleikkarilla mm. joululahjaksi saamaani GTA vitosta. Harmi kyllä kyseinen peli ei vielä ihan suju...

 

Olen ihan tyytyväinen, että kevääseen on vielä aikaa. En nimittäin oo ollenkaan valmis yhteishakuun saatika sitten luokan hyvästelemiseen! Mutta silti ootan kesää innolla, ja mietin jo mitä kesäisiä vaatteita käyttäisisn...

 

Niinkuin taisinkin jo mainita, alet olivat tänä vuonna erityisen hyvät! Oon tosi iloinen mun löydöistä, ja varsinkin niitten hinnoista! Tuli jo vähän valmistauduttua kesään, toivottavasti vielä mahun niihin puolen vuoden päästä..!

extreme make over - room edition

How was your weekend?

 

I met my friends in Helsinki on Friday, on Saturday my friend -who I met at the language course last summer- came to my town and today I did some school work and visited our neighbours. Tomorrow it's back to school again.

 

I didn't have the time for this post before, but on Christmas break I got a present which I had hoped for many years: I got a new room! Well, it's still the same but with different colors and order. I had been thinking about dark red for a long time and decided that that was the one for me. I wanted something kind off darker and kind off warmer, and I think that this shade fills those requirements pretty well. What do you think?

Seasons Greetings

Hi Honeys,

 

Happy New Year!

 

I hope that your Christmas / holidays went great and that this year has started well! 

 

My Christmas break was wonderful, Christmas and New Year came way too fast and went way too fast, but were great anyway. In Finland we celebrate Christmas on December 24th, and in my family we have many traditions with my family and grand parents. This year also my aunt and her boyfriend were with us, it was lovely to spend the Christmas Eve with a bit bigger company.

 

 

 

In the morning we ate rice porridge with cinnamon and sugar and also an almond hid in there. I was again the lucky one and got the almond and the wish witch comes with it, sorry sis it's just luck! ;)

 

There's this TV show for children called "Joulupukin Kuumalinja" which comes every year on Christmas Eve. As long as I've known how to use the phone I've tried to call there to talk to Santa Claus, and cause I've never succeed I'm still trying!

When the show ended, we decorated the Christmas tree with my sister.

 

 

 

 

 

On the day we went to Christmas church and continued (the kitchen had been busy the whole day) preparing the Christmas dinner.

There was so much food. Seriously. We couldn't eat it all in three days!

 

 

 

 

I did the dessert with my grandma, and cause it was her idea I can say that it was delicious! It was really easy, and really good! Here's the recipe if you'd like to try:

 

 

 

When we had finished eating, it was time for the presents! Thank you so much once again for way too much ♥ After opening the presents we played Trivial Pursuit, I just love playing board games with family!

 

 

 

 

On New Year's my friends from my class just appeared to our door with gingerbread dough and glog and we had an "after Christmas". The evening and the night I spent with my neighbours and my friends from the area, it was a good beginning for this year! In the morning of January 1st - yep, it was a short night- me and my sister went to Helsinki to eat a delicious brunch at our friends.

 

I also went skating, shopping (too much, luckily the sales in Finland are great) , did school stuff and random walks with friends and by myself and just enjoyed the holiday. Tomorrow I'm going to Vierumäki, a sports center. My parents, cousin, uncle and his wife are also going to be there. On Tuesday school starts again. I'd love to have holiday for couple more weeks, but it's also great to see everyone there.

Long time no see!

 

How are you people? I'm been really bad but also really good, since holiday is getting closer, things are mostly great these days ;)

 

So, a lot has been going on again, like always. This last week has been really busy with all the Christmassy things going on, but I'm going to try to Finish my Christmas shopping tomorrow in Helsinki, where I'll go to meet my friend. Two days of school anymore plus the Christmas ceremony or whatever on Saturday, then FREEDOM CALLS! Are you as excited as I am?

Moi, pitkästä aikaa!

 

Mitäs kuuluu? Mulle on kuulunut viimeaikoina tosi huonoa mutta myös tosi hyvää, kun loma lähestyy nii asiat on vaan paremmin koko ajan! ;)

 

Eli, paljon on taas ollu meneillään, niin kuin aina. Tämä vika viikko on ollu tosi kiireinen kaikkien jouluisten juttujen keskellä, mutta huomenna on suunnitelmissa /tavoitteena viimeistellä joululahjaostokset samallakun nään kaverini Helsingissä. Enää kaksi päivää koulua ja lauantain jonkinlainen joulujuhla, sitten alkaa VAPAUS! Ootatteko yhtä innolla?

dear homeland ♥

 

Moi,

 

It's Finland's independence day today!

 

I really like this day, because it always makes me appreciate my homeland. 96 years ago the people living here where I'm now instead of them, made the best decision ever: got Finland independent. Things would be so differently without that decision, a huge thank you from all of us to those people.

 

 

Many people have never even heard about Finland, and I get it, we're a small county (population only about 5 million people) and in the far north, and not really famous for anything. And often I'm really annoyed about living here, so far from everything, in the cold and in the dark. But even thought I'm planning on moving to another country, Finland will always be my favorite country in the world.

 

Here are some things which Finland is famous for or make my country special:

 

 

 

 

 

- snow

- long and cold and dark winter 

- a summer full of flight
-In the Northern part of Finland in the winter the sun doesn't come at all, and in the midsummer it doesn't go down at all 

- Lapland

 

 

 

- carelian pie 

- Santa Claus (he come's from Finland even thought many would say the north pole, not true!)

- the ice hockey team, "Leijonat"
- reindeer

 

 

 

- cinnamon rolls 

- sauna
- Angry Birds

- lakes & forests

Kuten kaikki suomalaiset toivottavasti tietää, meillä on tänään itsenäisyyspäivä! Tykkään paljon tästä päivästä, koska aina erityisesti 6. joulukuuta muistan arvostaa meidän kotimaata. Täällä meidän sijaan 96 vuotta sitten asuneet ihmiset teki parhaan päätöksen ikinä: Suomesta tehtiin itsenäinen (joo eihän se ihan sanomalla selvinnyt sen verran historian tunnelita muistan mutta kumminkin ;) . Asiat oisi aivan erilailla ilman tuota päätöstä, iso kiitos varmasti meiltä kaikikta noille ihmisille.

Joskus ärsyttää asua täällä kylmässä ja pimeässä kaukana maailmasta, mutta vaikka aionkin muuttaa toiseen maahan, on Suomi mulle aina paras maa koko maailmassa.

Olin tänään soittamassa orkesteri konsertissa, päälle tuli laittaa jotain mustaa,sinistä tai valkoista, joten päädyin kokeilemaan käytössä ekaa kertaa isosiskoni vanhaa Zaran mekkoa. Kengät on River Islandin, mun uudet kullat tuli pari päivää sitten postissa ♥

monday mornings on my mind

 

Hi guys,

 

 How are you? I hope that your December has started well! And I hope that you have an advent calendar, I know I'm enjoying mine, and I know that no one's too old for any Christmas traditions!

 

 

As usual, I have a lot on my mind, and the Christmas presents are becoming a big thing on my list! But I love giving presents and even thought it's some times really hard, I love the search of the perfect gifts for the people you care about! I'm so looking forward to Christmas, and Christmas break is so needed too..
