the last week of summer

Hullo!

How was your week? It's the last week of  August, so it's the last week of summer over here! Okay well apparently Fall's already been on for ages now, but I decided that summer lasts until the end of August and I like to keep my decisions ;) But now might be good time to officially say bye to the summer clothes, see you next year!

This week went fast with school, hobbies (tennis, violin and the new-ins : kickboxing, pole dancing and working with the little skaters!) friends, rainbows, wearing clothes and at the end of the week helping my sister move out - as you can propably see from the mess in the last oh-so-qualified-mirror-pics. Her new apartment & room seems lovely, I'm already planning some sleep over crashing..

Miten teidän vika kesä viikko meni? Okei joo tiedetään syksy kuulemma alkoi jo ajat sitten, mutta päätin että kesä jatkuu elokuun loppuun asti ja minähän pidän kiinni päätöksistä. ;) Nyt tosin taitaa olla harmi kyllä aika sanoa varsinaisesti moikka kesävaatteille, nähään taas ensi vuonna!

Tämäkin viikko meni nopeasti koulun, harrastusten (tennis, viulu ja niitten uuden toverit: potkunyrkkeily, tankotanssi ja Luistelukoulussa auttaminen!) , kavereitten, sateenkaarien, vaatteiden ja loppuviikosta siskon muuttamisen kanssa - mikä varmaan näkyykin sotkuna noissa vikoissa ah-niin-laadukkaissa-peilikuvissa. Katskun uusi asunto ja varsinkin huone vaikuttaa ihanalta, suunnittelen jo nyt yökyläilyreissuja...

School and the City

 

Hullo Honeys!

How are you?

I started high school two weeks ago, and I've really liked it! I didn't quite know what to excpect from my new school, Helsingin Luonnontiedelukio, but I've been positively surprised! It's big, but it has a lot of great people in it and it's really cosy! It's in Helsinki, and I love the fact that I'm now studying in the capital city of Finland! It's not far away so of course I've been there a million times before, but it's completely different to actually go there every day. ;)

Studying's of course a lot harder, I need about three times more time to do my home work than in the spring! (well we didn't get nearly any homework then actually..) But I like the change, it's good to have something different now!

Mitä kuuluu?

Aloitin lukion kaksi viikkoa sitten ja olen tykännyt tosi paljon! En oikeen tiennyt mitä odottaa Hellulta (Helsingin Luonnontiedelukio) , mutta oon yllättynyt positiivisesti! Hellu on tosi iso, mutta joukkoon mahtuu siis paljon ihania ihmisiä ja itse koulu on tuntunut hirmu kotoisalta! Ja musta on ihanaa käydä lukiota Helsingissä! Totta kai Helsingissä on tullut käytyä miljoona kertaa muutoinkin mutta on ihan eri asia mennä sinne joka päivä koulua varten.

Opiskelu on tietysti paljon rankempaa, ja läksyihin menee varmaankin kolme kertaa kauemmin kuin keväällä! (tosin, keväällä meille ei tullutkaan paljoa ollenkaan läksyä..) Mutta muutos on ollut mieluinen, ihana kun on erilaista vaihteeksi!

Oh yeah, I've been watching the Carrie diaries (with the ah-mazing Austin Butler) and I felt really Bradshaw-ish today. Oh Carrie, Carrie please give me your wardrobe.

Juu, Carrien päiväkirjoja (missä on itse ihanuus Austin Butler myös mukanaaa) on tullut katottua ja tänään oli erityisen Bradshawilainen fiilis. Voi kiltti Carrie, vaatekaappisi oisi aika mukava lahja.

Hullo,

How has your week been this far?

My last summer break week has been lovely, I've spent time with friends, shopped school things together with my mom and just chilled.  Today I was in Helsinki with my old school friends, we repeated ourselves and had a picnic in the centrum. We bought grapes and doughnuts and carrots and ice tea and cheese rice cakes and rocky road ice cream (heaven!) . We ate our treats and just layed on the grass and enjoyed the summer. I talked with my friend about this summer, how it has been really lovely! Literally. We both had the same feeling that this summer we've been really happy! It sounds like a cliche or just a basic everyday thing, but that's how we felt. Of course I've not been all smileysmiley but overall this summer has been great, the best one yet! Even though nothing special happened, the summer has been amazing. And it still continues of course! Summer lasts at least until the end of August, that's decided! ;)

Last Sunday was my parents god daughter's confirmation party, so we had again an event where to dress up. I love dresses, so yay!

Oh and I'm doing this with my laptop! It still the old one but atleast it works! I'm enjoying this while I can...

Presenting: The Hunt

I have some really exciting news for all you clothingcrazy people! I was watching Troye Sivan's vlog (if you don't know him go check his youtube channel right now!!) and he mentioned this new app called The Hunt. It sounded fun so I downloaded it and now I'm totally addicted!

Mulla on kivoja uutisia kaikille meille vaatehulluille! Katsoin Troye Sivanin vlogia (jos et vielä tiiä kuka hän on niin äkkiä youtubeen!) jossa hän mainitsi uuden sovelluksen nimeltä The Hunt. Se kuulosti kivalta joten latasin sen, ja nyt oon ihan koukussa!

What's the idea?

The idea is that you can ask for help if you're looking for some specific item/style you can't find, want to know how to style for example a skirt of yours or want shopping suggestions. And as a return service you'll help others to find the items/styles they're looking for or list items to shop for them. So you can play stylist or personal shopper, a dream come true! 

 You can also follow someone else's hunt if you too want to find it but don't know where. And your favourite items you can gem so they'll be saved to your profile.

Mikä on The Huntin idea?

Idea on että voit kysyä apua jos etsit jotain tiettyä vaatetta/asustetta/laukkua/tyyliä, haluat stailaus neuvoja esimerkiksi kaapin pohjalla lojuvalle hameelle tai kaipaat ostoslistaa. Vastapalveluksena voit auttaa muita löytämään heidän etsimänsä tuotteet/tyylit ja valita heille vaatteita ostettavaksi. Eli saa leikkiä stylistia ja personal shopperia! Jes! 

 Voit myös seurata (follow) jonkun toisen metsästystä jos itsekkin haluat tietää mistä tuon unelman löytää. Ja lempparit voi merkata jalokiviksi (gem) niin ne tallentuvat omaan profiiliisi.
